The dominant ingredient by far is Sea Buckthorn.
What could this formula potentially do?
❤️ 1. Cardiovascular & cholesterol support
Sea buckthorn contains fatty acids, carotenoids, flavonoids and other bioactive compounds. Human research suggests it may have a beneficial effect on lipid metabolism, particularly in people with abnormal lipid levels. A meta-analysis of 15 randomized studies found reductions in triglycerides, total cholesterol and LDL, although the studies had substantial variation. (PubMed)
So I would describe this product as:
“May support healthy cholesterol and cardiovascular function.”
I would not say “it cleans the arteries” or “cures cholesterol.”
🔥 2. Antioxidant & inflammation support
Sea buckthorn is rich in carotenoids, polyphenols, vitamins and fatty acids, while curcumin has biological anti-inflammatory activity. Research on curcumin suggests possible benefits for some inflammatory and joint symptoms, but the clinical evidence is still not strong enough to call it a treatment for inflammatory disease. (PubMed)
Therefore:
Potential benefit → antioxidant + general inflammatory support.
Not:
❌ “It completely removes inflammation from the body.”
🧴 3. Skin & hair nutritional support
This is one of the more logical uses of Sea Buckthorn.
Sea buckthorn contains omega-3, omega-6, omega-7 and omega-9 fatty acids, along with carotenoids and other antioxidants. Reviews describe potential dermatological and skin-protective effects. (PubMed)
It may therefore support:
-
Skin barrier and hydration
-
Skin antioxidant protection
-
General skin health
-
Nutritional support for hair/skin
But again, it should not be marketed as a cure for hair loss, eczema, psoriasis, etc.
🧠 4. Stress, relaxation & sleep support
The Ashwagandha component is traditionally used as an adaptogen.
There is some human evidence that certain ashwagandha preparations can help with stress and insomnia, although studies use different extracts and doses, so we cannot automatically assume this exact juice will produce the same effect. (NCCIH)
And importantly, this product contains only 20 mg per 10 mL. Without knowing the extract concentration/standardization, we cannot assume it provides a clinically meaningful ashwagandha dose.
🛡️ 5. Immune/defence support
Sea buckthorn contains several antioxidant and bioactive compounds, and Giloy is traditionally used for immune-related purposes.
However, I would be careful here.
“Supports normal immune function” is reasonable marketing language.
“Boosts immunity and prevents infections/diseases” is much stronger than the available evidence supports.
🩸 6. Metabolic health
Sea buckthorn has been studied for metabolic parameters. Interestingly, the meta-analysis found lipid improvements, but did not find a significant overall effect on blood glucose, blood pressure or BMI. (PubMed)
So don't tell customers:
“This juice controls diabetes.”
That's not scientifically justified from this formula.
One important point about the formula
The label says 7,000 mg Sea Buckthorn per 10 mL.
If the recommended serving is 30 mL twice daily, that would theoretically provide:
14,000 mg × 3?
Let's calculate correctly:
That's a substantial amount of the stated Sea Buckthorn material.
But here's the problem: the label doesn't tell us enough about whether this is whole-fruit pulp, concentrate, extract, standardized extract, or an equivalent quantity. That matters enormously when comparing the product with clinical studies.
So we shouldn't take a study using sea buckthorn oil/extract and claim that exactly the same effect will occur with this juice.
What I would honestly say about the whole product
Potentially strongest areas
1. Antioxidant/nutritional support ⭐⭐⭐⭐
2. Skin health support ⭐⭐⭐⭐
3. General cardiovascular/lipid support ⭐⭐⭐
4. Inflammation/joint support ⭐⭐⭐
5. Digestive/general wellness support ⭐⭐⭐
6. Stress/sleep support from ashwagandha ⭐⭐
7. Immune support ⭐⭐
These ratings are about the strength of the rationale/evidence, not a guarantee that the product will produce that result.
